Publisher and scope

Ahmad Khurasani publishes مَعين - أبو عاصم (Android package com.ahmad.quran) and this information website. Contact: [email protected]. Website: https://etqanulquran.online. This policy describes the current app and the static website.

No accounts, advertising or analytics

The app has no user accounts, sign-in, advertising, analytics, cloud sync or user profiling. It does not access location, contacts, camera or microphone. No advertising identifier or listening-history upload is implemented. Search runs offline on the device.

Data kept on your device

Bookmarks, reading history, last reading position, language and reading settings are stored locally. Quran text, downloaded page files, translation text and footnotes, audio cache, and download progress are also local. These records are not uploaded as a user profile. Android backup is disabled for the app. Clearing app storage or uninstalling removes its local data; there is no account or cloud recovery.

Internet content requests

Uncached Mushaf pages are requested over HTTPS from the versioned Quran.ws CDN (cdn.quran.ws), with a pinned same-content GitHub fallback (raw.githubusercontent.com). QuranEnc (quranenc.com) supplies translation/tafsir metadata and surah text. User-requested full Mushaf and current-translation downloads can continue using Android background work and local progress notifications. Already bundled or cached content remains usable offline when available.

These services and their hosting/CDN providers may receive ordinary technical network information, including IP address, User-Agent or other transport headers and requested content identifiers, such as page, translation key, surah or ayah. The app does not use this information to create a user profile. App code does not establish the providers' server-log fields or retention periods; this policy does not promise that their logs are absent or immediately deleted.

Recitation streaming and cache

Recitation by الشيخ عبدالكبير is requested over HTTPS from audio.etqanulquran.online. The URL identifies the requested surah and ayah. Starting playback also prefetches upcoming ayahs and nearby pages; these requests can disclose their content identifiers and ordinary network information to the audio server/CDN. Playback is tied to the foreground Reader and stops when leaving it or moving the app to the background. The app does not record sound or require microphone access.

Completed audio files may remain in a disposable, app-private 150 MiB cache for reuse. Cached files can play offline while retained; the app does not offer a full-recitation offline download. Cache eviction is automatic. Page and translation caches have their own storage controls. Deleting downloaded Mushaf pages does not delete bookmarks, history, settings or bundled Quran data.

Sharing and contact

Copy and Share operate only on your request through the Android clipboard or system chooser. The receiving app handles what you choose to share under its own policy. Selecting an email link opens your email app; sending a message is optional. A message you send to the publisher includes the address and content you choose to send and is used to respond to your request. Do not include sensitive information unnecessarily.

Website

The supplied static website has no scripts, cookies, trackers, analytics, advertisements, external fonts or embedded third-party resources. Its hosting/CDN may receive the same ordinary technical request data described above. Source links load external websites only when you choose to follow them. The app also contains local copies of this policy and the terms, so viewing them does not require the website.

Your choices and updates

Use bundled or cached content offline, manage downloaded content in Settings, or clear app storage in Android to remove all local app data. For privacy questions or requests concerning correspondence or network handling, contact Ahmad Khurasani at [email protected]. No account deletion process is needed because accounts do not exist. Material behavior changes will require an updated policy and date.
